Investing in Canada’s Children & Youth at Risk

Our programs focus on safety, education, health and wellness. Many are aimed at improving the lives of Indigenous young people and the safety of the communities where they live. All of our programs are delivered thanks to the passion and commitment of RCMP members volunteering their time back into the communities where they live and work. Our work is closely aligned with the RCMP National Youth Strategy, and RCMP members and community partners help to identify those children and youth most in need of support. Together, we invest in young people to build stronger, resilient, and healthy communities.

Since 1994, the RCMP Foundation has contributed more than $10 million to support over 1000 community initiatives across the country

WHAT DO WE DO?

RCMP members have a unique relationship with their communities. They identify ways in which the Foundation can invest and deliver programs that complement their work to make communities safer by reducing violence and diverting youth away from dangerous and criminal activities. Our collaborative approach uses volunteer RCMP members as the “boots on the ground” to deliver evidence-based programming in areas of highest need. With the input and collaboration of community partners and the RCMP, each program is adapted to meet the unique needs of the community and young people involved.

At present, the Foundation receives no government funding. We rely solely on monies raised from the private sector – companies, community groups and individual donors. Every dollar we spend on crime prevention saves $16 in enforcement. Please donate today.
